Turning scrolls into second chances

No one cares more about dogs than Dogs Trust.

Their mission is simple: to see a day where all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from being needlessly put down. But without government funding, they rely entirely on public generosity. To grow their impact, they needed a website that could turn more visitors into supporters, donors, and adopters.

The challenge

Dogs Trust’s previous website wasn’t doing enough. They needed a platform that could handle high traffic and make complex actions - from adoption applications to donations - feel effortless.

Our response

We started with people. Through extensive user research and stakeholder interviews, we uncovered the moments that matter most. Then, we moved fast. Working in agile sprints, we built a modern, high-performance platform using Drupal, React, and Node.js.

The result? A site that’s intuitive for users, effortless for editors, and built to grow. With new features launched regularly, based on real-world feedback.

The impact

We delivered a site that users love and the industry looks up to.

The seamless experience across every user journey makes it easier than ever to donate, adopt, and get involved. We’ve since worked with the team on their long-term strategic vision and multiple high-touch projects, such as the ever-growing annual National Dog Survey.

"Since the site’s gone live the results have been staggering! The quality of Aer’s work across the board - design, communication, build and overall passion for the project is what has made it as amazing as it is. I’ve been lucky enough to work with Aer Studios at a couple of charities now and they’ve absolutely felt like an extension of the team. I know I can call on them and trust them to always do a great job."
